The Christmas lights are looking particularly lovely this year, especially the huge twinkling tree in Berkeley Square.
My boyfriend bought me these beautiful roses today. Yellow Mountbatten roses are my favourites for their almost citrus scent. When they are in season I head down to their rose bed in Regents Park most mornings just to smell them. In the early hours when they are still wet with dew, the fragrance is intoxicating.
This is a picture of my gorgeous old pug, Pugley, with his favourite toy, a monkey called Skinny Minny that he absolutely adores. He is going grey now and has white eyebrows, also a rather senile habit of letting his tongue loll out of his mouth when he sleeps.

Lunching at Simpsons In The Strand should be a compulsory monthly outing. Time definitely moves slower there, which is such a treat.
